Biography

Evans GP has confirmed the signing of front-running Australian S5000 driver Cooper Webster for the 2023 GB4 season. 

The 19-year-old from Kilmore, Victoria, has been racing in the Australian Drivers Championship in S5000 for the past two seasons, taking three victories in total and finishing third overall this year. His S5000 performances in 2022 also saw him finish as runner-up in the Tasman Series, where he out-performed ex-F1 star Giancarlo Fisichella in all four races the Italian driver competed in. 

Webster had previously raced in the National Hyundai Excel Championship, finishing second in his debut season. 

Prior to his step up to cars, Cooper competed in karting across Australia and Internationally, with the highlights being crowned Australian KA4 Champion, winning a heat at theIAME International Final at Le Mans, and claiming five state title crowns. Cooper also has a strong background in online racing and is a member of the Oracle Red Bull Racing Esports team.
