Douglas Motorsport's George Proudford-Nalder made the most of a rapid start to claim victory in round three of the GB4 Winter Series at Snetterton.
The Australian driver started third on the grid, but made a perfect getaway to move into the lead as he sliced between Elite Motorsport's front row of pole sitter Harrison Mackie and Jesse Phillips.
He built a lead of over two seconds on the first lap, and was able to manage the race from there, though Mackie crept ever closer to his rear wing throughout the 20-minute contest, finishing less than four tenths of a second away at the flag.
Mackie had to settle for another second place ahead of Chase Fernandez, who claimed R Racing's first GB4 podium with third.
Pre-race standings leader Phillips was fourth on the road, and right behind Fernandez, but picked up a 10 second penalty for an out of position start, dropping him down the order to eighth.
That promoted reigning Ginetta Junior champion Lewis Goff into fourth, for his best result of the weekend so far for KMR Sport.
He finished well clear of Douglas Motorsport's round one winner Conor Grant, who held off a late challenge from Elite's John O'Donnell, with the pair going side by side on the final lap.
Nitrous Competitions ADM Racing's Jamie Leverton moved up two spots from his ninth place starting position to take seventh, and less than a second behind the squabbling duo ahead of him.
Phillips was next thanks to his penalty, with Fortec's Qarrar Firhand and Pace Performance's Alexander De Benedittis completing the top-10 in the penultimate race of the series.
The Winter Series finale is due to start at 15.10, with Mackie on pole.
