Biography

Age: 17
Nationality: British

GB4 Championship leader Hillspeed will expand its line-up to three cars for the upcoming Silverstone rounds on 30/31 July, with the addition of Marcus Short to its roster.

The British youngster joins the team alongside Max Marzorati and Megan Gilkes, and has a superb motor racing pedigree - the 17-year-old is the son of successful endurance racer Martin Short, the 2003 British GT champion and 2008 Dutch Supercar Challenge GT Class champion.

Marcus contested his maiden car race just over a year ago, courtesy of an outing in the Citroen C1 24 Hours at Silverstone, and he has subsequently had six outings in a Rover 216 GTi in the MG Cup as well as completing two races in a Mosler GT car with his older brother Morgan. Away from the track, Marcus is a very proficient sim racer in the official Formula One Esports Series.

Short tested a Hillspeed GB4 car for the first time on Thursday 14 July at Bedford Autodrome and enjoyed a positive first experience of the Tatuus F4-T014 chassis.
