Fred Green may have missed out on the GB4 Championship title at Brands Hatch, but he cushioned that blow by claiming this year's George Russell Pole Position Cup.
The British driver had already made sure of the prize with his fifth pole position of the year at Donington Park earlier in the month, but he then ended his season in style with an emphatic double pole on the Grand Prix circuit on Saturday, taking his end of year tally to seven, five more than any other driver on the grid.
He was presented with this year's George Russell Pole Position Cup on the podium after Saturday's first race of the weekend and joins Nikolas Taylor, Tom Mills, Linus Granfors and Isaac Phelps on the roll call of previous award winners.
For each pole this year, Green has earned £150, making for a total of £1,050 in prize money, in addition to the end of year £1,000 prize.
By winning the George Russell Pole Position Cup, Green ensured his Elite Motorsport team scooped the David Poole Warren Pole Position Cup, and a further £1,000 prize.
Alex O'Grady and Yani Stevenheydens each claimed two pole positions each in 2026, while Luke Hilton, Demitri Nolan and Thomas Ingram Hill earned one each.
Awards are presented at each round by John Cavill, who has played a major role in supporting drivers in MSV’s championships since 2013, and beyond that with many other contenders who have gone on to become leading names in the sport.
