Kuala Lumpur-born contender Nikolas Taylor will make his car racing debut at Snetterton this weekend, after confirming a late deal with single-seater powerhouse Fortec Motorsport. Taylor was a race-winning karter in his homeland before moving to the UK with his family in 2018.

Since then, he’s been preparing for a race debut after joining the Young Racing Driver Academy. Regular F4 and F3 simulator sessions got him up to speed, before his first real world on-track experience in 2020 at the wheel of a British F4 car.

He’s since turned his attentions to GB4 with Fortec, and has enjoyed several tests in the Tatuus F4-014 car in recent weeks with the team. The 16-year-old showed excellent pace at a recent official test at Donington Park, where he was the fastest recorded driver in both wet and dry conditions.
