GB4 Shootout winner Brandon McCaughan topped the times in the final test session of the day at Oulton Park, with a 1m57.607s effort in rainy conditions.
With the earlier running held in better conditions, Elite Motorsport’s Finn Harrison ended the first day at Oulton Park with the fastest overall time, a 1m38.769s effort from the first session.
McCaughan was six tenths clear of the field in the final test, with Fortec’s Silverstone pace-setter Linus Granfors second fastest.
Harry Burgoyne ensured two KMR cars were represented inside the top-three in the final session, and was just a tenth shy of Granfors’ effort.
Harrison was fourth quickest in session three, the first time he’d not been quickest all day, and was three quarters of a second ahead of Arden’s Leon Wilson, who ended a promising day with the fifth fastest time.
Branden Templeton was inside the top-six again for Fox Motorsport, ahead of Graham Brunton Racing’s Callum Baxter.
The second Elite car of Alisha Palmowski was eighth this time around, ahead of KMR’s third car of series returnee Chloe Grant, with the second GBR car of Mayer Deonarine completing the session three top-10.
The opening session of the day proved the quickest of the day, with each driver recording their best efforts this morning. Harrison therefore heads the times heading into tomorrow’s second day of action, with Palmowski and Granfors completing the top-three on Thursday.
