Fortec Motorsport’s Linus Granfors trimmed more time off his session two effort in the third test of the day at Silverstone to top the times for the second successive session.
The Swedish driver posted a 2m01.291s, enough to put him just 0.078s clear of KMR Sport’s Brandon McCaughan in second.
The lead duo were seven tenths clear of the pack, headed by Graham Brunton Racing’s Callum Baxter, with Arden’s Leon Wilson 0.178s further back in fourth.
Oulton Park race winner Alisha Palmowski was just 0.004s further back in fifth, three tenths ahead of Fox Motorsport’s Branden Templeton, with KMR’s championship leader Harry Burgoyne just one thousandth of a second in arrears.
Elite’s Finn Harrison was next up in eighth, 0.083s clear of privateer Marcus Luzio, with KMR’s Chloe Grant completing the top-10, which was covered by just over 1.5 seconds.
The final session of the day is due to commence at 16.35.
