Ginetta Junior Championship runner-up Fred Green will graduate to the GB4 Championship with Elite Motorsport in 2026.
In his first full season of car racing, Green secured nine victories and a total of 18 podiums from 24 races in this year’s Ginetta Junior Championship, finishing just 12 points behind the eventual champion.
Fred, who won the Ginetta Junior Scholarship for 2025, and is the most successful Scholar since the programme began in 2011, joins recently announced Matan Achituv in Elite’s three-car GB4 team,
The 16-year-old from Leicestershire, is nephew of former DTM multi-race winner Jamie Green while his father, Nigel, was the 2017 BriSCA F1 World and European Stockcar Champion.
Green, who attends the Motorsport UK Academy in Nottingham, began karting in 2020 and while focussing on his first season in car racing this year, also enjoyed karting success, winning the Kartmasters GP and British Open O plates – two of the biggest one-off UK title races.
He achieved 17 race wins in 2024 and was the Senior X30 IAME EuroCup Vice Champion that year and Junior X30 English Champion in 2023.
