British youngster Lewis Wherrell will make his car racing debut in the GB4 Championship at Donington Park this weekend (4/5 October).

The 15-year-old from Lincolnshire is a hugely successful karting contender, and was ranked first in the FIA International Karting Rankings in 2023. 

He commenced his karting career aged just five at his local circuit, and is now firmly established as one of the UK’s leading contenders. He claimed his first title in 2021 as he became World Champion in the IAME Warriors X30 Mini division, and was runner-up in the British Kart Championship the same year.

A landmark year followed two years later, as he claimed the 2023 Champions of the Future crown in the OK Junior division, the WSK Champions Cup and the 51° Trofeo delle Industrie. 

With further front-running performances in European and World Karting Championships, Lewis is now gearing up for his car racing debut with multiple GB4 title winners KMR Sport, and has already tested the car with the team in recent months.
