Biography

Age: 16
Nationality: Swedish

Swedish teenager Elias Adestam joins GB4 after several years of car racing success in his homeland. He was fourth in the Aquila Synergy Cup in 2019 and moved up to third in 2020 before taking on single-seaters in Formula Nordic last season, and was third overall with two wins and five additional podiums.

Adestam has been racing since the age of five, when he made his driving debut in a homemade ‘cross-kart’ (built by his father Rickard) on his grandfather’s potato field! Karting followed once he turned eight years-old in 2014, and since then he’s been recognised by Swedish racing royalty – claiming the Rickard Rydell Special Award.

Elias will be raising money for his charity project Raising Against Cancer, and will also donate and match any funds earned through the George Russell Pole Position Cup initiative to victims of the war in Ukraine.
