Front-running GB4 Championship team Hillspeed has confirmed its first driver signing for the 2027 season. The Markham Vale squad has agreed a fresh deal with podium finisher Demitri Nolan for his sophomore year in the ultra-competitive category.
Announced this morning, on the eve of the penultimate event of the current campaign at Donington Park, Texas-born Nolan is delighted to have his 2027 plans confirmed as he and the team aim to mount a major challenge in GB4 next season.
Donington was the venue for the American’s maiden category podium finish just over two months ago where he raced to a fantastic second place in round nine of his rookie year. Earlier that weekend Nolan had already chalked-up a then season-best top four result in round seven.
With six races still to run this season, three this weekend at the East Midlands track and then three more at Brands Hatch GP Circuit at the end of September, Nolan has so far claimed 12 points finishes from the 15 races contested.
Prior to arriving in GB4 with Hillspeed for his maiden season of competition outside his native USA, Nolan – who is managed by Niclas Jonsson’s KDE Management stable – competed successfully in the F4 United States Championship. Finishing the 2025 season sixth in the standings, he claimed a podium result at Virginia International Raceway.
Nolan’s single-seater debut came the year prior in the Ligier Junior Formula Championship (Ligier JS F4 Series). He raced to a best finish of fourth in his debut car racing campaign at New Jersey Motorsports Park, and wrapped-up the season inside the championship top-10.
The goal now is for a successful and competitive conclusion to the 2026 season in GB4, before entering into a strong winter testing programme as Nolan and Hillspeed seek to build further on the incredible relationship both parties have enjoyed since first testing together a couple of years ago.
Richard Ollerenshaw, Hillspeed Team Principal: “We are absolutely delighted to have retained Demitri for the 2027 GB4 Championship. To agree a deal so soon, with two events still to run of the current season, is fantastic news for everyone at Hillspeed and we really are over the moon to be able to continue working together. Demitri has made some quite exceptional progress this season and we’re sure he will make even bigger strides next year in his second season of GB4, as we continue the great relationship we have built.”
Demitri Nolan: “I really am so happy, with the support of Nic [Jonsson] and the guys at KDE Management, to have re-signed with Hillspeed for next season in GB4. I’ve learned so much this year and we’ve shown some very strong progress, the highlight so far obviously being the Donington podium in the summer. We’re all determined to build on all I’ve learned this season, which has probably been the most competitive ever season in GB4, and looking forward to the continuity which putting our 2027 plans in place so early will bring. As this year, I’m delighted to have the opportunity to again represent Hillspeed in GB4.”
