Karting front-runner Max Yuill to make car racing debut with Fortec Motorsports in GB4 Winter Series

13 October 2026

Karting front-runner Max Yuill will make his car-racing debut with Fortec Motorsports in this year’s GB4 Championship Winter Series in October.

The 15-year-old British driver from Northampton enjoyed a front-running campaign in this year's British Kart Championship Senior X30 IAME division.

Max ultimately finished sixth in the standings after an intense battle for the championship, following positive results at Whilton Mill, Larkhall, Rowrah and PFI. His results were all the more impressive considering he was one of the youngest drivers on the grid.

His most recent campaign continued a promising karting career, which has seen him compete in both the UK and internationally, with a run to third place in the SKUSA SuperNats XXVIII last year being another recent highlight, in his final event as a junior racer. He’s also competed in the IAME World Finals, IAME Euro Series and the Kartmasters British GP.

While continuing his karting career, Max has also started the transition to car racing, and has sampled the Tatuus MSV GB4-025 car with Fortec at Pembrey in recent weeks, as he begins preparations for his first single-seater races at Snetterton on 24/25 October.

Max Yuill: “I’m really excited for this new chapter in my racing career and I’m looking forward to my first single-seater races in GB4 with Fortec Motorsports. The team has an amazing record in GB4 and single-seaters generally, so it’s going to be a great environment for me to make my first steps into car racing. We do a lot of winter racing in karting, so it feels natural making my car-racing debut at this time of year!”

Fortec Motorsports Team Principal Oliver Dutton: “Max has already shown good potential in his GB4 tests with us, and the Winter Series at Snetterton is the ideal event for him to make his car-racing debut. His results in karting suggest he should make a strong debut, and we’re looking forward to working with him over the next few weeks to get him fully up to speed in single-seaters.”
