Green maintains Pole Position Cup advantage as O'Grady enters chase at Oulton Park

26 May 2026

Elite Motorsport's Fred Green maintained his two pole advantage at the top of the George Russell Pole Position Cup standings at Oulton Park, while KMR Sport's Alex O'Grady claimed his first pole in GB4.

Green's third pole of the season so far came after setting the fastest time in qualifying on Saturday, with a lap set just 10 seconds before the chequered flag was shown.

His lap of 1m34.350s put him just 0.043s clear of O'Grady, who had topped the times for much of the session.

Despite being disappointed at missing out on race one pole, O'Grady did at least take consolation by taking pole for race two, settled by each driver's second quickest times.

O'Grady's 1m30.400s put him 0.015s clear of Green on that particular chart, putting him not just on pole for the first time, but the front row also.

Both drivers converted their respective poles into impressive race victories, with the duo currently at the head of the championship standings. Each driver claimed £150 and a trophy as part of the George Russell Pole Position Cup.

The driver with the most poles at the end of the season will win the Pole Position Cup and an additional prize of £1,000. The team of the driver with the most poles will win the David Poole Warren Pole Position Cup, and a further £1,000 prize.

Awards are presented at each round by John Cavill, who has played a major role in supporting drivers in MSV’s championships since 2013, and beyond that with many other contenders who have gone on to become leading names in the sport.
