Luke Hilton topped all four GB4 Championship sessions on the first day of the Donington Park media day test.
The Nitrous Competitions ADM Racing contender, who topped the first day at Snetterton last week, was in imperious form around the East Midlands venue, setting a 1m28.763s in the first session to end the day quickest.
Though he was fastest in all subsequent sessions, he ended day one with a margin of 0.162s from Douglas Motorsport's Jason Smyth, with the Irishman's teammate Dayton Coulthard close behind in third.
Snetterton day two pace-setter Fred Green was fourth quickest, a quarter of a second further back and just 0.028s clear of the lead KMR Sport car of Alex O'Grady.
Another sophomore contender in the form of Pace Performance's Josh McLean was sixth, just a fraction ahead of the second KMR machine of Lily-May Watkins, who has displayed a vast upturn in form so far in testing.
Enzo Hallman was the lead Hillspeed car in eighth, ahead of teammate Connor Willis, with Elite's Matan Achituv completing the day's top-10, which was covered by less than eight tenths of a second.
The top-12 cars were separated by less than a second, with 27 drivers in action on the first day of testing. Four more sessions follow on Thursday.
19 drivers, including all of the top-10, set their best times in the first session.
