Nitrous Competitions ADM Racing's Luke Hilton and Hillspeed's Demitri Nolan entered the fight for the George Russell Pole Position Cup at Donington Park, with their first pole positions of the season.
Hilton secured race one pole after an amended qualifying result was issued on Saturday, making amends somewhat for his two lost poles at Silverstone. The British driver made full use of his first front of the grid start to march to a breakthrough victory in race one, as he relaunched his title bid.
Nolan meanwhile secured race two pole, also his first in GB4. While that sadly resulted in a retirement after picking up rear wing damage, Nolan still banked his highest overall weekend score since joining GB4 at the start of this season.
Both drivers secured £150 and a trophy as part of the George Russell Pole Position Cup.
The driver with the most poles at the end of the season will win the Pole Position Cup and an additional prize of £1,000. The team of the driver with the most poles will win the David Poole Warren Pole Position Cup, and a further £1,000 prize.
Awards are presented at each round by John Cavill, who has played a major role in supporting drivers in MSV’s championships since 2013, and beyond that with many other contenders who have gone on to become leading names in the sport.
