KMR Sport's Alex O'Grady secured a double pole position in qualifying at Donington Park this morning.
The Irishman registered a best lap of 1m29.372s to take race one pole, 0.070s clear of Thomas Ingram Hill, with Hillspeed's Enzo Hallman third quickest.
O'Grady's second best time of 1m29.390s earned pole for race two, exactly a tenth clear of Hallman with Ingram Hill third this time around.
O'Grady took charge of the session right from the off, dominating the top of the timing screens in the second half of the 15-minute session. He initially set a time of 1m29.499s, at one point holding an advantage of three tenths of a second to the field.
He followed that up with a 1m29.426s with just over five minutes remaining, before posting his eventual pole time on his next lap, as the clock ticked into the final five minutes.
A late effort from Fortec's Ingram Hill propelled him onto the front row, his first qualifying front row in GB4 and only 0.070s away from O'Grady. The British driver was just 0.037s ahead of Hallman, who was third for the fourth time this season.
Elite Motorsport's championship leader was fourth, 0.014s behind Hallman and 0.076s clear of Hillspeed's Connor Willis, who delivered his best qualifying result of the season so far.
The same can be said for Pace Performance's Torrin Byrne, who completed a top-six covered by just 0.292 seconds.
Fortec's Franciszek Cegielski was the lead rookie contender again, with seventh equalling his best qualifying result, while Luke Hilton secured eighth on the race one grid, and was within half a second of O'Grady's pace.
John O'Donnell (Pace) and Matan Achituv (Elite) completed the top-10, which was covered by less than six tenths of a second. The top-14 drivers were within a second of the outright pace.
For the race two grid, based on each driver's second fastest times, O'Grady claimed his third pole of the season, 0.100s clear of Hallman who jumped up to second at the expense of Ingram Hill.
Green was fourth quickest once more ahead of Willis and Cegielski. Hilton, O'Donnell, Byrne and Achituv complete the provisional race two grid top-10, which was covered by 0.852s
All results remain provisional pending further investigations after the session.
