GB4 graduate Alisha Palmowski claimed an emotional F1 Academy victory in the Feature Race at her home Silverstone round on Sunday.
Supporting the British Grand Prix, Palmowski started second on the grid but moved past pole sitter Chiara Bättig on the run to turn one to snatch the lead.
Despite an early safety car, Palmowski, who was the 2024 GB4 runner-up, broke clear of the pack with Bättig in the second half of the race. The pair were split by six tenths of a second at the flag, but over eight seconds clear of the next runner.
As well as the win, Palmowski also earned additional points for securing the fastest lap of the race.
Palmowski has now won three F1 Academy races this year, and holds a 30-point margin at the top of the standings, with seven races remaining.
The F1 Academy season resumes at Zandvoort on August 21-23.
