Multiple karting champion Cian Geraghty will join Scorpio Motorsport for his first single-seater campaign in the 2026 GB4 Championship.
The British driver is one of the country’s most decorated karters, having claimed five titles in recent years across multiple categories.
Geraghty, who hails from Leicestershire, is the reigning Ultimate Karting Championship titleholder in the Senior Rotax division, taking five victories on the way to the crown. In addition, he won the Rotax National Trophy, was the runner-up in the IAME O-Plate and third in the Rotax Euro Series.
The 17-year-old has also won the Kartmasters Grand Prix, is a two-time English champion, and winner of the LGM Series in previous years.
In preparation for his car racing graduation, Geraghty has sampled a wide variety of racing machinery across the past few months. His car-racing debut came at Oulton Park in the Mazda MX5 Supercup in July, with fourth and sixth place finishes, and in addition to Scorpio’s GB4 car, he has also tested Ferrari 488 Challenge machinery and a Radical SR3.
Geraghty joins Fiesta Junior front-runner Archie Davies in Scorpio's 2026 line-up, with the team aiming to confirm a third driver in the near future.
Cian Geraghty: "After a strong few years of Senior Karting, I am looking forward to making the step up to the GB4 Championship for my first season of car racing.
"I am really looking forward to racing with Scorpio Motorsport and seeing what we can do together. We had a really positive first day in the car at Snetterton and I am looking forward to building on that through the winter testing before round one.
"A massive thankyou to everyone at Scorpio Motorsport for everything they have done to give me this opportunity for 2026."
Scorpio Motorsport Co-Owner Louis Kershaw: "We are over the moon to have signed Cian for the upcoming GB4 Championship season. He becomes the latest in a long list of extremely talented drivers to race a Scorpio car.
"Rarely do you get the opportunity to work with a such a highly decorated karter. We are confident that the winning mindset which has brought him so much success at the pinnacle of karting will come through once again in his GB4 campaign with us.
"It is a pleasure to have him onboard, he is an all round nice lad, with an attitude and work ethic that mimics our own. He will certainly be a great addition to an already strong team. Both Cian and ourselves have our eyes firmly on the prize in 2026."
