Fox Motorsport has confirmed Saudi karting champion Jasser Iskander as the team’s first driver for the 2026 GB4 Championship season. The youngster will be GB4's first ever Saudi Arabian contender, and is the 20th confirmed driver on this year's grid, with just under three months still remaining until the start of the season.
The 15-year-old from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, will drive one of the team’s Tatuus MSV GB4-025 cars in the seven-round campaign, which begins on Silverstone’s Grand Prix circuit on April 24-25.
A self-confessed Max Verstappen fan, Jasser began racing rental karts in his homeland during the middle of 2024 and became a winner instantly.
After just four months of local-level racing, he took part in organised competition for the first time in the IAME KSA Junior Karting Championship, the country’s top level of junior karting, in early 2025.
Competing against the series champions of the previous three seasons, Jasser remarkably won the title at the first attempt and now takes his undoubted talent to the UK to join the team from Maldon, Essex.
Fox, who were victorious on their debut GB4 weekend in 2023, have run multiple race winners such as Liam McNeilly and Branden Templeton in the series and are set to field a multi-car line-up again in 2026.
Jasser Iskander: “I’m thrilled to be coming to the UK to race in the GB4 Championship with Fox Motorsport. Ever since I raced a kart for the first time, I knew it was what I wanted to do and I will do whatever it takes to realise my dream of racing in Formula 1. I tested a GB4 car at Pembrey last summer and again at Donington in December, so I’ve experienced the car in hot and dry conditions as well as cold and wet. It’s very different to a kart, but I got used to it pretty quickly and can’t wait to get my testing programme properly underway with Fox. Although it’s my first season in cars, I’m aiming high and want to get on the podium as soon as I can. It’s going to be tough with a very high level of competition, but I think it’s possible.”
Fox Motorsport Team Principal Paul McNeilly: “We’re very pleased to announce Jasser – the first Saudi Arabian driver we’ve had at Fox Motorsport. He has far less experience than many of the rookies moving up to GB4 in 2026 – just one season in karting – but clearly has a remarkable amount of talent, as winning your national title at the first attempt is an incredibly difficult thing to do. Jasser is very ambitious and I think that together we can not only help him to learn and develop as a driver, but perhaps to spring a few surprises over the year as well.”
