Elite Motorsport's Fred Green could etch his name onto the George Russell Pole Position Cup at Snetterton, as he edged further ahead in this year's battle for the £1,000 end of year prize.
Green and Fortec's Thomas Ingram Hill claimed the two poles on offer at Silverstone last weekend. Ingram Hill's first GB4 pole was secured for race one with the fastest qualifying time, while Green took his fourth of the year for the race two grid, which was decided by each driver's second quickest times.
Both drivers secured £150 and a trophy as part of the George Russell Pole Position Cup.
The driver with the most poles at the end of the season will win the Pole Position Cup and an additional prize of £1,000. The team of the driver with the most poles will win the David Poole Warren Pole Position Cup, and a further £1,000 prize.
Should Green claim a double pole at Snetterton next time out, he will guarantee himself this year's George Russell Pole Position Cup, with two events still to go.
Awards are presented at each round by John Cavill, who has played a major role in supporting drivers in MSV’s championships since 2013, and beyond that with many other contenders who have gone on to become leading names in the sport.
