GB4 top-two receive Donington Park British F4 call-ups

21 August 2026

GB4's current top-two drivers Alex O'Grady and Fred Green will race in the British F4 Championship rounds at Donington Park this weekend (22/23 August).

The duo have been the main focal point of this year's GB4 Championship, with six wins between them, seven pole positions and 12 podiums.

O'Grady, who drives for KMR Sport in GB4, is a late call-up for Rodin Motorsport, and replaces F4 championship leader Dries Van Langendonck for the three races in the East Midlands. The Irishman competed in French F4 in 2024, before stepping into GB4 in 2025, and now leads the championship by 70 points with six races remaining.

The last-minute nature of O'Grady's late call-up means he's not yet driven the car he'll race this weekend, and missed pre-event testing on Thursday.

"I'm really happy to be racing with Rodin this weekend, and it's a big opportunity for me," O'Grady said. "It's definitely going to be tough without any testing, going straight into qualifying, but I'm looking forward to it."

Elite Motorsport's Green meanwhile will compete for Virtuosi Racing, stepping into the car previously raced by Jarrett Clark. Green sits second in the GB4 standings despite a run of misfortune that has dented his title aspirations recently.

The McLaren-backed British driver was able to drive his car yesterday (Thursday), and was a very encouraging 17th fastest in the 29-car field, less than 0.8s away from the pace in changeable conditions.
