Polish ace Cegielski shines on Friday to top testing at Snetterton

14 August 2026

Fortec Motorsports' Polish rookie Franciszek Cegielski topped the Friday times as GB4 pre-event testing at Snetterton came to a conclusion.

The 16-year-old registered a 1m48.707s in the first session of the day, when track conditions were at their coolest to lead the times by almost four tents of a second.

Things were much closer behind with teammate Thomas Ingram Hill second quickest for the second day in a row. The British youngster topped the times in the second session of the day, but his morning effort was quicker, and enough to put him 0.023s ahead of KMR Sport's championship leader Alex O'Grady. The Irishman's best time came with his final lap of the day in session three, which topped that particular session.

Douglas Motorsport's Dayton Coulthard was next up in fourth, heading a string of three other drivers who also set their best times this morning. The Scotsman was 0.023s in arrears of O'Grady and 0.059s ahead of Hillspeed's Thursday pace-setter Enzo Hallman.

Elite's Fred Green was sixth quickest overall, ahead of fellow Elite runner Charlie Smith, who continued his testing programme with the team. Smith is not entered to race this weekend.

Silverstone race winner Connor Willis (Hillspeed) and Douglas Motorsport's Conor Grant were eighth and ninth thanks to their session three laps, while Pace Performance's Torrin Byrne completed the top-10, which was covered by 0.991s.

GB4 action continues on Saturday, with the 20-minute qualifying session at 11am.
