Ingram Hill earns maiden GB4 pole at Silverstone as Green takes race two honours

01 August 2026

Thomas Ingram Hill set the fastest lap of the weekend so far to take a dominant maiden pole position in the GB4 Championship, with Fred Green securing race two pole with the quickest second-fastest lap.

Ingram Hill's time of 2m01.166s put his Fortec Motorsports car 0.379s clear of Green, who will join him on the front row of the grid for the first race of the weekend.

Green demonstrated excellent consistency to set two laps within nine thousandths of a second of each other – his time of 2m01.554s good enough to beat Ingram Hill to race two pole by 0.142s.

Ingram Hill was a class above the field after setting his fastest time earlier in the session and benefiting from a red flag, caused by Jamie Leverton spinning at Copse, that brought the session to an early close. Ingram Hill and Green exchanged top spot in the middle stages of the 15-minute session, but it was the Fortec contender who had more pace to claim his first pole.

Behind the top two, Luke Hilton put his Nitrous Competitions ADM Racing car third on the grid for both main races, setting two laps roughly three tenths of a second slower than the car ahead.

Championship leader Alex O'Grady will start race one from fourth, 0.748s off the pole time, with Conor Grant securing his personal best qualifying position for Douglas Motorsport in fifth.

Ingram Hill's team-mate Franciszek Cegielski was sixth and the last driver to be within a second of the pole time.

The Pace Performance duo of Torrin Byrne and Josh McLean will make up the fourth row on the grid, with 0.364s separating the pair. Elite Motorsport's Emmilio Valentino Del Grosso was two thousandths of a second further back in ninth and Hillspeed's Enzo Hallman completed the top 10.

Green and Ingram Hill swapped positions for the race two grid, which is based off the driver's second-fastest lap times, with Green set to start from pole for the fourth time this season.

Hilton and O'Grady will be third and fourth respectively, with Cegielski completing the top five. Byrne, McLean, Grant, Hillspeed's Connor Willis and Hallman complete the top 10 for second-fastest times.
