Alex O'Grady topped both Friday test sessions at Silverstone, as the Irishman ended pre-season testing in ideal fashion ahead of this weekend's season opener.
Under clear blue skies, the KMR Sport contender set a 2m00.549s in session one, and fell just under a tenth of a second short of that in session two, in which he was also fastest. His opening sesison effort was enough to put him just 0.024s ahead of Douglas Motorsport's Jason Smyth.
Fortec's Franciszek Cegielski was the top rookie runner in third, exactly half a tenth behind Smyth and 0.086s ahead of Elite's Thursday pace setter Fred Green, who was one of few drivers to better their time in the second session.
Nitrous Competitions ADM Racing's Luke Hilton was next up in fifth, 0.032s clear of Fortec's Thomas Ingram Hill, with Enzo Hallman the lead Hillspeed runner in seventh. The top-seven was covered by just over a quarter of a second.
Charlie Smith, who is not entered to race this weekend, put his Elite Motorsport car eighth, ahead of fellow testing only contender Payton Westcott, who was the lead Scorpio runner.
Douglas Motorsport's Dayton Coulthard completed the Friday top-10, which was covered by less than eight tenths of a second. The top-12 drivers were all within one second of the outright pace.
Action at Silverstone resumes tomorrow with qualifying at 11.50 and the first race of the season at 16.50.
