GB4 contender Megan Bruce has been selected to take part in the F1 Academy Rookie test at MSV's Circuito de Navarra on 17-18 September.
Bruce, in her second GB4 campaign, has made big steps forward with reigning champion squad KMR Sport, with a best result of fourth at Oulton Park.
Her results mean she leads the way to claim the €50,000 prize for the top female contender in this year's GB4 Championship, to put towards a potential F1 Academy seat should Bruce secure a seat in the series next year.
Bruce will now get a first taste of her intended destination for next year, when she samples F1 Academy machinery at the Spanish venue next week. The two day event is a first for F1 Academy, with 17 other leading female drivers invited to take part.
The test has been designed to ensure that the best talent from the sport's widening female participation base is selected to compete in F1 Academy, with the test allowing all drivers to take to the track in identical conditions.
Each driver will receive six hours of track time during the test, while also being immersed within the teams as well as undergoing research-led physical and cognitive assessments.
