Elite Motorsport's Isaac Phelps secured the 2025 George Russell Pole Position Cup at Donington Park, thanks to his second successive qualifying double pole.
The British driver claimed his fifth and sixth pole positions of the campaign during the 15-minute session on Saturday, ensuring he earned four more poles than any other driver this year.
Phelps took command of the chase for the end of year £1,000 prize with his double at the penultimate rounds at Brands Hatch. Up until then, five different drivers had taken pole doubles throughout the year, making the battle as fiercely contested as the main championship itself.
But Phelps domination of the final two qualifying sessions of the year ensured he was head and shoulders clear of his opposition. His six poles earned him £900 in prize money (£150 per pole), in addition to the £1,000 end of year bounty.
By winning the George Russell Pole Position Cup, Phelps ensured his Elite Motorsport team scooped the David Poole Warren Pole Position Cup, and a further £1,000 prize.
Alex Kattoulas, Dan Guinchard, Ary Bansal and Jack Taylor all claimed two poles each in 2025.
Awards are presented at each round by John Cavill, who has played a major role in supporting drivers in MSV’s championships since 2013, and beyond that with many other contenders who have gone on to become leading names in the sport.
