In one of the most successful seasons in the team's history, Elite Motorsport claimed the GB4 Drivers' title with Ary Bansal, the Teams Championship and the David Poole-Warren Pole Position Cup at the end of yesterday's action at Donington Park.
All three marked Eddie Ives' squad's first major titles in single-seater racing, having established themselves as a major player in sports car and junior racing since the team's establishment in 2011, before expanding into single-seaters at the start of 2021.
"I'm so pleased that we've ended as 1-2 in the championship, it looked like it may not have gone our way at points on Saturday and over the last few weeks" an elated Ives said at the end of the Donington Decider weekend.
"It's a big testament to the team and drivers for the good job they've done all year. It was a bit disappointing that it all had to come down to the final race, but it was certainly good for all the fans!"
The squad had won plenty of races, not just in GB4 but also in GB3 across the past few seasons, but at times the yellow machines have been dominant in GB4 this year, with a total of nine victories from the 21 races held across the season. Ives admitted to win it after such a strong campaign was a special moment.
"It means a massive amount, we've been going for over 10 years but this is our first single-seater championship, both for drivers and teams, so it's been very special and it means an awful lot to us."
Of course attention turns to 2026 almost immediately, and with all three of his drivers having finished in the top-four in the championship, could they be destined for GB3 next year?
"Two of them have already had a go, and I'm sure the third one will be in one in the next couple of weeks!" he suggests.
As for celebrations, all plans were put on hold last night...
"I'm meant to be driving a truck home, but I think I might find someone else to do that and we might stick around a bit longer than we intended!"
