Elite Motorsport's Ary Bansal put one hand on the GB4 Championship title, with victory in the penultimate race of the year at Donington Park.
The Indian driver started fourth, but quickly worked his way to the front of the pack, and claimed his fourth win of the year by over two seconds from Fortec's Thomas Ingram Hill, while KMR's Alex O'Grady shot from sixth on the grid to third.
Elite Motorsport's Isaac Phelps kept his championship chances alive by climbing from 12th to fourth, just ahead of Hillspeed's former championship leader Dan Guinchard, who battled from 11th to fifth.
He finished just ahead of Hillspeed teammate Leandro Juncos, while Arden's Leon Wilson went from 10th to seventh.
Elite's Alex Kattoulas is now eliminated from the title battle, but was eighth from 15th ahead of Douglas Motorsport duo Lucas Blakeley and Dayton Coulthard.
Combined with a significant change to the race two result after multiple penalties were issued for track limits violations, Bansal now holds a provisional eight point championship lead over teammate Phelps heading into the final race this afternoon. Guinchard is 13 points behind Bansal, with the top-three drivers the only contenders who can now claim the title.
