Arden Motorsport's Leon Wilson claimed victory in race two at Donington Park, in a contest that saw all the championship contenders pick up time penalties for track limits.
Isaac Phelps won the race on the road, but picked up a penalty on the final lap. Dan Guinchard and Ary Bansal also picked up five and ten second penalties respectively and finished seventh and 14th respectively.
Phelps ultimately claimed second ahead of Hillspeed's Leandro Juncos, as the title battle closed up even more.
Pole sitter Phelps was cautious on the first lap, and fell behind Wilson and Juncos in the opening corners, while Guinchard attempted to make progress from fifth.
Wilson built a good early lead, but Phelps was on a mission, and moved past Juncos after a couple of laps, and then hunted down and passed Wilson on lap nine.
He led from there, and built up a lead of over two seconds by the final lap, but after picking up a track limits penalty in the final stages, it handed Wilson victory, but Phelps had enough time in hand over Juncos to still take second place.
Bansal and Guinchard also battled for the podium spots, but their challenge was hampered by their own penalties. Bansal picked up two separate offences and Guinchard one, the latter's chances dented even further after being edged onto the grass late on by Bansal, exiting the Old Hairpin.
All the drama and chaos allowed ADM's Jason Pribyl, KMR's Alex O'Grady and Fortec's Thomas Ingram Hill to move into fourth, fifth and sixth places respectively, ahead of Guinchard who was provisionally classified seventh.
Douglas Motorsport's Lucas Blakeley was eighth ahead of Pace Performance's Stefan Bostandjiev, while Arden's Ava Dobson did her chances of claiming the prize for the top female driver no harm at all with an excellent drive to 10th.
Guinchard still leads the championship with a four point gap to Phelps, while Bansal is nine points further back. As things stand, the top-three are the only drivers than can now win the title, with the penultimate race of the year coming up at 11.46.
The results of the race remain provisional until further notice.
