Alex O'Grady, Luca Magnussen and Enzo Hallman were the top-three drivers in the first GB4 Championship race of the weekend at Oulton Park. Here's how the top-three reacted at the end of the contest.
Winner, Alex O'Grady, KMR Sport:
"I don't get why no-one in front of us went on wets because it was raining on the pre-grid! Then it got heavier as the race went on so we made the right decision. I made a brilliant start, I gained five places in two corners so it was the perfect race and I'm really happy. I managed to keep it on the track and finally win.
"It was quite sketchy on the opening lap, and I've never driven this car in the rain so I was just learning constantly and finding out where the grip is. As the race went on I got more comfortable, but the safety car came out for a while and there was only four minutes and a couple of laps until the end. I kept it on the track and did what I needed to do.
"It's been a big step up this weekend, even in the dry, yesterday we were really quick. Quali wasn't great but we've shown great pace and it's nice to get the win finally."
Second, Luca Magnussen, Fortec Motorsports:
"It's a big step from outside the top-10 at Silverstone to be fighting for the podium, so it's a great feeling.
"It's the first time we've had wet weather since pre-season testing here. We made the right choice with the tyres and the first lap was just pure chaos. I just tried to find room, find grip, and managed to do that, going from P11 to P2 on the first lap, so that's not that bad! I wasn't fast enough to fight for the win but P2 isn't that bad."
Third, Enzo Hallman, Douglas Motorsport:
"It was a great race, a bit tricky with the decision between slicks and wets, but we went with the wets and it worked. I'm happy, and it was a great first lap, I don't even know how many positions I got but it was a good first lap and it just felt like I had more confidence than the others. So it was a good race, my first time here at Oulton Park this weekend also as I missed all the testing, so I'm really happy with the podium.
"It was both [on whose decision it was to start on wet tyres]. The team asked me and I said wets."
