The 2025 GB4 Championship doesn’t just boast the biggest grid in the series’ history, but the most competitive too! Here’s just some of the stats that demonstrate the most fiercely contested start to a season yet, and how closely fought the remainder of this year’s campaign is going to be.
Most winners after round nine (seven)
GB4 is no stranger to multiple victors in the first stages of the season, but seven drivers have already claimed race wins across the first nine races of 2025. That’s two more than any previous GB4 season at this point!
2025 race winners: Isaac Phelps (two), Dan Guinchard (two), Ary Bansal, Alex Berg, Alex Kattoulas, Alex O’Grady, Enzo Hallman
Most podium visitors after round nine (14)
It’s also not unusual for the podium trophies to be shared around too, but already in 2025, 14 drivers have claimed trophies, again, two more than at this point in any previous season. The number would have been greater still, had Megan Bruce not been overtaken on the final lap in race one at Oulton Park!
2025 podium visitors: Guinchard, Kattoulas, Phelps, Bansal, Hallman, Berg, O’Grady, Stefan Bostandjiev, Jack Taylor, Leandro Juncos, Jason Pribyl, Luca Magnussen, Dayton Coulthard, Callum Baxter
Closest average pole margin in first nine races (0.105s)
GB4 qualifying sessions have been massively exciting in 2025, with multiple drivers in with a chance of taking pole positions, and tiny margins between them, not forgetting of course that qualifying for the Donington Park season opener was the closest in single-seaters on the Grand Prix circuit for 18 years! The average pole position margin this year has been just 0.105 seconds, and three different drivers have already claimed poles in qualifying, the equal most at this point in a season.
The closest top-four since 2022
After nine races, Dan Guinchard, Alex Kattoulas, Isaac Phelps and Ary Bansal are separated by 42 points, the closest top four at this stage of the year since the inaugural campaign in 2022. Had it not been for a difficult Oulton Park round last time out for the three Elite drivers, that margin would have been even closer, indeed the top-four were separated by just two points heading into that round!
Most different winning teams since 2022
Not since 2022 have five teams taken wins in the first nine races. Elite Motorsport, Graham Brunton Racing, Hillspeed, KMR Sport and Douglas Motorsport have all been victorious so far in 2025. Three different teams won in the opening nine races in 2023, and four last year.
It’s clear then, that the remainder of the 2025 campaign is going to be well worth watching! Keep tabs on the GB4 Championship website to keep fully up to speed with all the latest news and updates.
