Ary Bansal, Isaac Phelps and Leandro Juncos were the top-three drivers in qualifying at Snetterton on Saturday morning. Here's how each driver reacted at the end of the session.
Double pole, Ary Bansal, Elite Motorsport:
"I'm feeling very confident this weekend and it's definitely a good way to start. Pole will make my life much easier in the races, and I'm very happy.
"The track changed dramatically, since yesterday's last practice session and today's qualifying. I had to adapt on the go and also be fast, so it was quite difficult. Me and my teammates are constantly improving so it was all about who is faster.
"This definitely increases my chances of catching up [in the championship] and overtaking the leader. I think it's going to be exciting this weekend and there's lots of overtaking opportunities. But as long as I keep focused, the rest will have to do the overtaking!"
Second, Isaac Phelps, Elite Motorsport:
"A one two for the team is quite good. I would have liked to be P1, but we can only do so much. I was lacking a little bit of pace on new tyres compared to Ary, but I think we'll be good in the race on used tyres.
"I've had a couple of good starts so far this season, I've not really started behind him [Bansal] yet, so I'm not sure how good his starts are, but he's had a decent bit of experience so he should be quite good.
"We hope to win as much as we can this weekend, I'm just trying to do the best I can and just close as many points to the leader as I can."
Third, Leandro Juncos, Hillspeed:
"It was a shame as I did a cool down lap and when I went to push in sector one I lost two tenths and I kept pushing because the tyre was still there surprisingly. And then the last two sectors, sector three especially, were pretty good and I think I improved by four and a half tenths there in the last sector. A good qualifying overall, but should have been pole probably! But I'm very happy and the car was really good.
"The car was so good, we've been working our way the whole weekend and we've taken a big step I think with new tyres. We hadn't run four new tyres across Thursday and Friday so to actually feel that grip was good and with us starting third and fourth we can definitely fight and I expect a win. I've had to pass a lot of cars previously, so to overtake fewer cars would be good! We can race from third, and hopefully we can get two wins."
