GB4 race winner Dayton Coulthard will stay with the Douglas Motorsport team as he returns to the championship in 2026.
The 17-year-old made his car racing and single-seater debut with Wayne Douglas’ squad in 2025, and made big steps forward as the year progressed.
Having claimed a breakthrough podium result in challenging conditions at Oulton Park, the Scotsman established himself as a frequent top-10 contender in the second half of the year.
Significant raw pace improvements were also demonstrated by a string of top-seven qualifying results across the final three event weekends.
His maiden victory came in the season finale weekend at Donington Park, where he jumped from sixth on the grid to challenge the race leader in the early stages of the contest, before launching a superbly executed move at the Old Hairpin with two laps remaining.
Coulthard’s consistency, allied to his strong end to the campaign ensured he established himself as the second-highest placed rookie driver in the standings.
The karting graduate has resumed testing with the team, and is now gearing up for his second year of single-seater action.
Dayton Coulthard: "I'm determined to come back and win the GB4 Championship with Douglas Motorsport next year. It's shaping up to be a massive series again in 2026, and if I can win it and be in the fight throughout, that's going to be a huge benefit to my future career. With the team, we're going to do everything we can before the season to make sure we're in the best shape possible to make this a reality."
Team Principal Wayne Douglas: “It’s a pleasure to welcome Dayton back to the team for next year’s GB4 Championship. Considering his experience levels before the season, he did a great job in 2025, built up his speed and confidence, and was with the top-six on merit towards the end of the year. His win at Donington proved his potential, and with a year of experience to fall back on, we really hope to see similar performances from him in 2026.”
