Fortec Motorsports' Thomas Ingram Hill was the driver to beat as the GB4 field tested on the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit on Wednesday.
The British youngster, who claimed his first GB4 podium at Silverstone, posted a 1m25.600s in the third and final session of the day at the legendary Kent venue, enough to put him just under a tenth of a second quicker than the rest of the field.
Ingram Hill, who also set the fastest time in the second session, was 0.094s ahead of double Silverstone winner and teammate Jack Taylor, with KMR Sport's Alex O'Grady third, and just 0.027s further back.
Elite's Ary Bansal was next up in fourth and only eight thousandths of a second behind, while being 0.014s ahead of teammate Isaac Phelps.
The third Elite contender, Alex Kattoulas, was fastest in the opening session and sixth overall courtesy of his session three time, and a tenth clear of Arden's Leon Wilson.
Hillspeed's championship leader Dan Guinchard was 0.073s further back in eighth and just under three tenths quicker than teammate Leandro Juncos, with Pace Performance's Silverstone winner Stefan Bostandjiev completing the top-10, which was covered by 0.887s.
All 21 drivers present at the test set their best times in the final session.
