Elite Motorsport’s Isaac Phelps secured pole position for both races one and two at Brands Hatch this afternoon (Saturday) with a best time of 1m24.108s.
Teammate Ary Bansal will line up alongside Phelps on the front row for race one but was 0.511s behind, while Hillspeed’s championship leader Dan Guinchard was third quickest for the race one grid.
Phelps took hold of the session in the final five minutes, initially setting a 1m24.511s, a time that would have been good enough to secure pole position anyway, but he made sure of it with less than three minutes to go.
That was enough to secure pole for race one, but his earlier time proved his second best, and was enough to secure both poles, his third and fourth of the season.
Elite Motorsport’s Alex Kattoulas will start fourth in both races, while Douglas Motorsport's Luke Hilton was fifth, a tenth of a second behind the top-four, and 0.027s quicker than Arden's Leon Wilson in fifth.
Douglas Motorsport's Dayton Coulthard secured seventh for race one, just over a tenth behind Wilson and a similar distance ahead of the lead KMR Sport car of Alex O'Grady.
Thomas Ingram Hill (Fortec) and Hillspeed's Leandro Juncos completed the top-10, which was covered by 1.090s.
With second quickest times forming the race two grid, Phelps was 0.214s ahead of Guinchard, with Bansal and Kattoulas on row two.
Wilson and Hilton switch positions on the race two grid, ahead of O'Grady, Juncos, Ingram Hill and Coulthard.
The first race of the weekend is due to commence at 17.00.
