Elite Motorsport’s Isaac Phelps topped the timesheets across the GB4 Championship testing sessions on the Brands Hatch Indy circuit on Friday, setting the pace in the first and third sessions of the day.
The British driver set his fastest time in the final outing, a 45.044s, with a margin of 0.059s to Hillspeed’s championship leader Dan Guinchard in second.
Ary Bansal (Elite Motorsport), completed the top-three despite an off into the gravel in session one, with his quickest lap coming in the third test and 0.138s off of Phelps’ time.
Jack Taylor of Fortec Motorsports and Hillspeed’s Leandro Juncos rounded off the top five, 0.165s and 0.172s behind the front-runner respectively.
Elite Motorsport’s Alex Kattoulas was just five hundredths of a second behind Juncos in sixth, while Leon Wilson of Arden Motorsport ended the day in seventh.
Douglas Motorsport’s Dayton Coulthard set his fastest time in the first session, 0.344s from Phelps’ benchmark, while teammate Luke Hilton and ADM’s Jason Pribyl were ninth and tenth, the top ten separated by 0.401s. The top-19 drivers were all within a second of the quickest time, ahead of qualifying tomorrow.
