Elite Motorsport’s Alex Kattoulas became the second GB4 driver this year to win the Sunoco Fastest Driver of the Weekend Award, courtesy of his performance at Silverstone.
The Japanese-Greek driver set the fastest lap in two of the three races last weekend, but it was his effort of 2m00.459s from race one which proved the quickest of the event.
That was the same contest in which he claimed his first ever car racing victory, temporarily elevating him to the top of the championship standings as a result.
Kattoulas also set the fastest lap in race three, but that effort fell around half a second short of his race one best. Hillspeed’s Dan Guinchard set the fastest lap in race two.
Elite Motorsport drivers have claimed both Sunoco Fastest Driver of the Weekend Award prizes so far, with Ary Bansal securing the honour from GB4’s control fuel supplier at Donington Park.
Sunoco Fastest Driver of the Weekend Award winners 2025:
Donington Park – Ary Bansal, 1m27.427s
Silverstone – Alex Kattoulas, 2m00.459s
