Elite Motorsport claimed another podium lockout in the second GB4 Championship race of the weekend at Silverstone, with Isaac Phelps heading home teammates Alex Kattoulas and Ary Bansal. Here's how each driver reacted at the end of the contest.
Winner, Isaac Phelps, Elite Motorsport:
“That was really tough, the track was really ungrippy to be honest. It was really hard to keep Alex behind me because he was just so fast, as I would probably have a bit better pace than him for the whole lap but then he would catch up. In the hairpins he had some good pace on me and down the straight with the tow it was just really scary every lap into Brooklands.
"At the start I had a really good reaction time and a really good launch. I got alongside him and nearly cleared him by the corner. So I was able to keep the lead and in single-seater racing the start is what matters so yeah I was very happy to get that done.”
Second, Alex Kattoulas, Elite Motorsport:
“For sure, we got some more good points for us there.
"I just need to get a good start in the reverse race and go from there and stay out of trouble!”
Third, Ary Bansal, Elite Motorsport:
“It’s good, what we are doing is working and the team is doing a great job.
"My teammates are good and everything is quite close. One mistake can make the difference with getting the win.”
