Elite Motorsport's Ary Bansal recorded the quickest time of the day in the second GB4 Championship test session at Silverstone on Friday.
The Indian driver, who won race two at Donington Park, posted a 2m00.429s to go over a quarter of a second clear of teammate Alex Kattoulas. Bansal's time almost matched teammate Isaac Phelps' best effort of 2m00.406s from yesterday, ultimately falling just 0.023 shy.
Hillspeed's championship leader Dan Guinchard staked his claim for another strong weekend by setting the third quickest time, 0.070s clear of the lead Douglas Motorsport car of Luke Hilton, with the top four all recording their best efforts in the last test.
Session one times for Jack Taylor (Fortec) and Phelps put them fifth and sixth on the day's combined time sheets, ahead of Fortec duo Thomas Ingram Hill and Luca Magnussen.
The second Douglas Motorsport car of Enzo Hallman and the top Arden car of Leon Wilson completed the Friday top-10, which was covered by 1.136s.
Action at Silverstone resumes tomorrow with qualifying at 11.55, with 24 drivers entered into this weekend's action.
