Palmowski powers to P1 in Oulton Park testing

06 March 2024

Elite Motorsport’s GB4 aspirant Alisha Palmowski made a strong impression on the second day of testing at Oulton Park, as she topped the final two sessions of the week, and recorded the quickest time of the week in the process.

The Ginetta Junior graduate’s best time of 1m35.812s came in the penultimate session of the day, putting her over two tenths of a second clear of the field, headed by fellow Elite runner Finn Harrison, who is gearing up for a full GB4 campaign.

KMR Sport’s Harry Burgoyne topped half of this week’s sessions, and was third overall on Wednesday, ahead of Graham Brunton Racing’s Canadian Callum Baxter, who on just his second visit to the circuit was an impressive fourth fastest.

Fresh from confirming his place on this year’s grid, Dan Hickey was the lead Fortec runner in fifth overall, just over a second away from the ultimate pace, with Arden’s Leon Wilson continuing his adaptation to single-seaters with the sixth quickest time, just over a tenth further back.

The second Fortec car of Jack Taylor was seventh, as he completed his second day of running in GB4 machinery, while Graham Brunton Racing handed a test to Dutchman Bas Visser, who shaved seconds off his time in every session in his second day of GB4 running, having tested at Donington yesterday.

Testing resumes next week at Donington Park (13/14 March).
