Lucas Blakeley's return to GB4 at Snetterton last weekend was certainly a memorable one! The F1 Esports World Champion not only netted a first slicks and wings win in the first race of his comeback, but he also earned the Sunoco Fastest Driver of the Weekend prize.
Blakeley's fastest race lap of the weekend, a 1m48.383s was set in the first race of the event, but it was a close fought affair, with the KMR Sport driver's best time being just 0.043s quicker than Elite Motorsport's Alisha Palmowski.
The Scotsman proved his pace throughout the entire event, topping two of Friday's test sessions and only just missing out on pole in qualifying.
While registering the fastest race lap of the weekend in the opening encounter, he also recorded the fastest lap in the final race also.
Blakeley maintained a run of different winners of the award at each GB4 event so far this year. Harry Burgoyne, Linus Granfors and Liam McNeilly are the other contenders to have claimed the prize in 2024, at Oulton Park, Silverstone and Donington Park respectively.
