KMR Sport’s Lucas Blakeley returned to GB4 in style with a superb victory in the first race of the weekend at Snetterton.
Starting from second on the grid, he took the lead off the line, powering past Alisha Palmowski and then pulled out a big lead, triumphing by just under three seconds.
Pole sitter Palmowski had to settle for second ahead of the second KMR car of Harry Burgoyne Jnr.
Championship leader Linus Granfors claimed fourth in his Fortec Motorsport machine, a couple of seconds clear of Elite Motorsport's Finn Harrison.
Callum Baxter emerged on top of a sensational fight for seventh place with Arden's Leon Wilson and KMR's Chloe Grant, the latter sadly forced into retirement late on after losing her rear wing after Wilson's car made contact with the back of the KMR machine. Wilson was later disqualified from the results for causing the incident.
Fortec duo Dan Hickey and Jack Taylor took eighth and ninth on the amended result with Megan Bruce completing the top-10 for Fox Motorsport,
Blakeley's start proved decisive, as the F1 Esports world champion made the better getaway to take the lead around the outside of Riches on lap one.
From there, the Scotsman was able to build a comfortable lead, holding an advantage of 1.3 seconds after the first tour. Within three laps it was over two seconds, and 3.4s by lap six. With the gap established, Blakeley was able to ease the car home to claim an emotional first slicks and wings triumph,
