Granfors maintains P1 streak in Friday session one

Fortec Motorsport’s Linus Granfors topped the times in the first Friday session at Silverstone, making it four successive tests where the Swedish driver has topped the times this week.

The Oulton Park race winner was over eight tenths of a second clear of the field, courtesy of his 2m01.395s lap, with Arden’s Leon Wilson his nearest challenger in second.

Privateer Marcus Luzio was an impressive third quickest and just two thousandths of a second further back from Wilson.

Brandon McCaughan set the fourth quickest time, a tenth further back and just under three tenths clear of KMR Sport teammate and championship leader Harry Burgoyne.

Chloe Grant completed the line astern KMR cars in sixth, 0.114s away from Burgoyne, with the lead Fox Motorsport car of Branden Templeton seventh and 0.149s behind.

Finn Harrison was the lead Elite Motorsport car in eighth, 0.013s ahead of Fox Motorsport’s Megan Bruce, with Callum Baxter completing the top-10 for Graham Brunton Racing.

A total of 18 cars were again on track, as Flame Airikkala and Aleksander Mizera continued their driver development programmes.

The final GB4 test session of the week is due to commence at 12.45.
