Evans GP’s title challenger Cooper Webster ended testing on the Brands Hatch Indy circuit with the fastest lap of the day in the final session.
The Australian lapped the Kent venue in a time of 45.225s, more than a quarter of a second clear of the field, headed by Elite Motorsport’s returnee Josh Irfan.
Webster topped much of the session, and set his ultimate best time with seven minutes remaining.
KMR Sport’s Jack Clifford ensured it was a decent session for Antipodean entries, putting in the third quickest time, and a couple of tenths clear of Webster’s teammate Kai Daryanani.
Fortec’s Colin Queen was fifth quickest in the session, 0.053s clear of teammate Aditya Kulkarni, with Harry Burgoyne (Graham Brunton Racing), Sid Smith (Fox Motorsport) and Zack Ping (VRD) all within a second of the pace.
Series newcomer Sebastian Murray completed the session four top-10.
Webster’s final session time put him over a tenth of a second clear at the top of the combined testing times. Championship leader Tom Mills, who didn’t record a time in session four, was second overall, ahead of Fox Motorsport’s McNeilly, with both setting their best lap in session three.
Josh Iran and Jack Clifford used their session four efforts to end the day inside the top-five, with Queen, Smith, Daryanani, Burgoyne and Kulkarni completing the overall top-10, which was covered by 0.636s.
Action moves onto the Grand Prix circuit tomorrow, with qualifying at 12.10.
