Liam McNeilly, Cooper Webster and Aditya Kulkarni were the top-three finishers in the final GB4 race of the weekend at Donington Parl. Here’s how each driver reacted at the end of the contest.
Winner, Liam McNeilly, Fox Motorsport
“It’s not been the best weekend and to come away with the win there is pretty amazing. It kind of sums up the weekend really!
“We’ve got two reverse grid wins now, I want the wins to come in the main races, but this feels amazing. All the overtakes too, it’s amazing.”
Second, Cooper Webster, Evans GP
“It seems like I just can’t win! I’ve had a load of second places and podiums each race this weekend and we’re so close. That race then it was really close again, but I had heaps of fun coming through and I’m really stoked about how I got through, quicker than Tom and Colin behind. And I really fought McNeilly there for the win, so it was good.
“I guess most of it was the pace in the car, we had more raw pace and I got further ahead than they did. At the beginning of the race we were all really close and I was fighting Tom through a few corners. We all had the shot to get forward but I think my pace ultimately helped me for the rest of the race.”
Third, Aditya Kulkarni, Fortec Motorsport
“I enjoyed every bit of the race, working from missing Thursday testing because of my exams to getting a podium in the final race! Lots of tough racing and I enjoyed it all at the end.
“I want to keep this momentum going, and keep on building on the foundations that we have set. I have to thank Fortec Motorsport for helping me, James Shotton, my parents and everyone else involved in the weekend.”
