Ginetta Junior graduate Liam McNeilly posted the quickest GB4 lap time of the week on the final day of testing at Silverstone today.
McNeilly and Fox Motorsport teammate Sid Smith were in action at the home of the British Grand Prix on Friday, following on from Fortec Motorsport and Kevin Mills Racing, who tested at the venue on Wednesday and Thursday.
McNeilly’s time of 2m00.999s came in the penultimate session of the day, and proved the fastest lap of the week, just under half a second quicker than Colin Queen’s previous benchmark set on Thursday.
Sid Smith, who graduates into GB4 as the reigning Fiesta Junior champion, was just over a second away from teammate McNeilly, as he continues his single-seater adaptation.
Fox ran a third car today for Smith’s Le Mans class-winning father Rob, with Smith Jr getting the upper hand by well over 3.7 seconds!
In all, seven drivers were in action with GB4 machinery at Silverstone this week, with testing set to continue at Oulton Park next week.
