Evans GP’s Cooper Webster improved on his morning effort in the second GB4 Championship test session of the day at Snetterton.
The Australian, who set a new unofficial lap record this morning, shaved another six tenths off his time to record a 1m47.222s in session two, courtesy of a late lap set with just over a minute remaining.
Webster was two tenths of a second clear of Fortec’s Colin Queen, with KMR’s championship leader Tom Mills third again, with the top-three covered by less than three tenths of a second at the end of the day.
The second Fortec car of Ruhaan Alva was fourth, and 0.089s clear of Fox Motorsport’s Liam McNeilly, with Graham Brunton Racing’s Harry Burgoyne Jnr sixth.
The Scotsman’s new teammate Jeremy Fairbairn completed his first day of running with the team in seventh place, 0.030s away from Burgoyne and 0.169s clear of the second Fox Motorsport machine of Sid Smith.
F1 Esports Champion Lucas Blakeley popped into the top-nine in the second session for KMR Sport, only four tenths of a second away from Smith, and 0.252s ahead of teammate Jack Clifford.
All drivers recorded their best times of the day in the second session, with the exception of Fortec's Aditya Kulkarni, who didn't participate this afternoon. His session one time put him 11th on the combined classification.
GB4 testing at Snetterton resumes tomorrow with two more sessions, the first of which is due to commence at 10.20.
