Nikolas Taylor, Jarrod Waberski and Jack Sherwood were the top three finishers in the second GB4 race of the weekend at Brands Hatch. Here's how each driver reacted at the end of the contest.
Winner, Nikolas Taylor, Fortec Motorsport:
"The team deserve it, they deserved it yesterday, still a bit disappointed [with the race one retirement] but it was a good win.
"It puts too much pressure if you’re chasing [in the championship], we should have a bigger buffer but being ahead is what you want.
"We were the only team that ran new tyres on the right so we’re gonna have fresher tyres on the left for the last race, everyone else ran news on the left so we’ll see how it plays out."
Second, Jarrod Waberski, Kevin Mills Racing:
"A good podium, good race. I had a decent start and then on lap one had a little bit of contact with my teammate, I don’t know we’ll have to look back at the video and see what happened but I don’t know really what happened, think he had a puncture so not so great for the team. Overall, as a race, a good race, we beat Max, P2, a third and second, I think overall a good weekend so far.
"In race three I want to make as many places as early as possible, having all the places made really on the first lap, it’s so tough to follow and pass round here. I think the first few corners are going to be very, very crucial for the reverse grid race."
Third, Jack Sherwood, Elite Motorsport:
"It was a good race, as I said earlier we got held up a bit by that battle with Max and by that time Waberski and Nik had gone so I just settled into my own rhythm and tried to put in consistent laps. I could see in my delta we were going faster and faster so that was a confidence booster. We’ll see where we are for race three with new tyres and everything. Happy with the pace and happy with the car. It was a good result.
"The team have put out a mega car all year, there’s multiple occasions where we’ve shown it, at Snetterton we were so fast there, the car was mega there, even this weekend with Tom, the quali lap he put in, not just him but the car being able to perform that lap. I think they’re one of the best teams on the grid at the moment."
