Kevin Mills Racing’s Tom Mills ended Thursday with the fastest time in the final session of the day at Snetterton.
The 17-year-old’s last effort of 1m49.724s, set just as the flag dropped, was enough to put him 0.177s ahead of Fortec’s championship leader Nikolas Taylor. Taylor had just reclaimed top spot, when Mills found a final couple of tenths to steal the position back.
Mills’ teammate Jarrod Waberski completed a good session for KMR with the third fastest time, within half of a second of the outright pace.
Hillspeed’s title contender Max Marzorati ended his day in fourth place ahead of Graham Brunton Racing’s Chloe Grant, with Fortec’s Jessica Edgar completing the top-six.
Taylor’s lap of 1m49.598s remained the best of the day overall.
Two more sessions will take place tomorrow with Logan Hannah (GBR), Megan Gilkes (Hillspeed), Jack Sherwood (Elite) and Alex Walker all set to expand the field.
