Hillspeed’s plans for the inaugural GB4 Championship partnered by the BRDC season will kick up a gear next month, when the team heads to Spain for a series of exclusive test days.
The Derbyshire-based team will be in action at Guadix, Jerez and Valencia as they get up to speed with their Tatuus F4-T014 car alongside their GB3 operation.
Starting at Guadix in Granada on 9-11 February, the team will then move to former F1 venue Jerez on 14/15 February. A return to Guadix on 17/18 February will then be followed by two days of running at Valencia’s Ricardo Tormo Circuit on 23/24 February. In all, the team will be in action for a total of nine days.
“Our winter testing programme in Spain is always a highlight of the year for the team, it’s the true start of the racing year for us with our GB4 and GB3 squads”, said Richard Ollerenshaw, Hillspeed team principal. “Having the chance to learn the GB4 car at great tracks like Guadix, Jerez and Valencia is a fantastic opportunity for young racers, especially those coming in fresh from karting.
“MotorSport Vision has done an exceptional job already with the creation of GB4, we’re confident it’s going to be a huge success – just like GB3 – and we’d be delighted to hear from any youngsters who would like to join our testing schedule in Spain next month.”
